PLASTIC FREE INTER-SCHOOL & INTER-ISLAND ACTIVITIES

Setting an example when competing or participating in inter-school events is important. If your school has taken a stand internally against plastic, it must be reflected outside too. This will encourage other schools and communities to take up the fight against plastic pollution, as well as help to avoid a large amount of waste generation at such events! 

 
 

HOW

  • Be as involved as you can during the planning stages

  • Take an active role in figuring out logistics that replicate the effort you already do in your school!

  • Ensure that your school does not use single-use plastics during the event

  • Demonstrate that you will not increase your plastic footprint even at inter-school events arranged by others

 

MEASURE

  • Written document to parents and students communicating measures that the school will take in the event

  • Photos of the event

  • Statistics of any interception done
